INFORMATION ABOUT HOOD RIVER
Hood River is centrally located in The Columbia Gorge Scenic Area. Thousands travel
here annually to play or view in the places where the mighty Columbia River meets the
majestic Cascade Range.
In 1990 we established The Gift House in Downtown Hood River, Oregon. Our goal is to provide a
mosaic of products from the Northwest and Columbia River Gorge. We have become the premier
provider of gourmet foods, clothing, souvenirs, and hand crafted items.
The Gift House is the most visited shop and is known for its unique display of goods.
Visitors often comment about it being one of the most unusual shops they've seen.
From the beginning we have put together gift packs. We use small wooden crates, printed boxes and
woven baskets as our containers. We compose each gift for the customer according to the person
who will receive it. Blending together food items and other products such as coffee mugs, soaps,
S&P shakers, etc, gives each a look of its own.
We mail out the gift packs or single food items so that they are received in a fresh and timely manner.
